The Yogini Nancy

Meditation and Yoga Teacher

Yoga is a gift that was given to me, that I want to give to the world. When I started my journey, I had severe insomnia and anxiety symptoms that all went away with regular practice. I know firsthand the power of yoga to improve one's mental health and I want to guide you to your optimum health. An overachiever by nature, yoga taught me to slow down and smell the roses. I have up to 9 yoga teacher trainings that include Yin, Gentle, and Hatha teacher training at HappyTree Yoga with Melanie Richards, to name a few. I completed my Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher Training at Naada Yoga and did my hands-on assistance training with Asami Yoga in Montreal. I am trained by Melanie Shanti Faucher to guide pre and post-natal yoga classes. I completed her 300-hour teacher training in Vinyasa and Ashtanga Adjustments at Kranti Yoga in Goa India. I most recently completed her 300-hour advanced Hatha teacher training with Barrie Risman at HappyTree. Although I am a valued member of the Montreal Yoga Community, I consider myself an international Yoga Teacher. I teach in French and English.

I am a McGill Law School graduate and an advocate for social justice and mental health. When I am not teaching yoga and meditation, I am a mentor in the wellness industry. I am called to the bar in Ontario, Canada.

My intention is to teach in a joyful way that nourishes the mind, body and soul. With my wealth of knowledge and experience, my classes serve my students, whether their desire is to improve flexibility, accelerate the healing of an injury, or change their lifestyle. Before yoga, I practiced gymnastics, capoeira, and dance.
